Ashley D. Jones
For the November Member Spotlight, we are featuring Ashley D. Jones, Excellent TransCare.
I’m Ashley D. Jones, an entrepreneur, author, and strategic operations leader passionate about helping women build businesses that thrive on systems, not stress. I lead Excellent TransCare, a premier provider of non-emergency medical and community transportation serving individuals with special needs, seniors, and underserved communities across New Jersey. Alongside this, I direct SJ Specialty Limousine, offering luxury and executive travel, and am developing Onboard Outreach, a nonprofit that bridges transportation and community access for those most in need. Through my book, Don’t Play With My Business: Lessons, Pitfalls, and Boundaries — A No-Nonsense Guide to Building Systems for Women Entrepreneurs, I empower women to grow purpose-driven, profitable businesses built on structure, clarity, and sustainability.
- What tip or tool has helped you in your business?
One of the biggest game changers in my business has been learning the power of delegation and building a strong team. I realized that growth only happens when you stop trying to do everything yourself and start trusting capable people to carry the vision with you. Implementing structured management systems that streamline scheduling, communication, and accountability has helped create consistency and clarity across our operations. But the real key has been the people behind those systems — a team of dedicated administrators who operate with excellence. Hiring to scale, trusting your team, and creating processes that support them has allowed me to focus on strategy, sustainability, and long-term growth instead of burnout.
- What’s a favorite quote that you’d like to share & inspire other members?
My mother gave me this advice when I was in college: “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” I didn’t realize then how deeply it would shape the way I lead today. In both business and life, challenges will always come, but peace is priceless. Over time, that lesson evolved into my own mantra: “Protect your peace like it’s profit.” I’ve learned that peace isn’t passive — it’s powerful. When you guard your energy and focus with intention, you make better decisions, lead with clarity, and create the space to grow without losing yourself in the process.
- What is your go-to business, mindset or productivity book that has helped you in your life and business?
The book that resonates most with me right now is The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins. It’s become a reminder and a mindset — that you can’t control people, outcomes, or situations, and you don’t need to. As I share in my own book, Don’t Play With My Business: Lessons, Pitfalls, and Boundaries, success comes from setting boundaries, focusing on your purpose, and protecting your peace. The Let Them Theory reinforces that same truth: let people be who they are, let situations unfold, and stay rooted in your own discipline and direction. It’s been a grounding reminder that peace and focus are the real measures of growth — not reaction.
