For the May 2026 Member Spotlight, we are featuring Leslie Cohen, Voorhees Living.
My background is in corporate training and employee development, so I’ve always been focused on helping people grow, communicate better, and build strong relationships. That really carries over into what I do now as the Publisher of Voorhees Living Magazine.
At the core, my role is about connecting great local businesses with the community here in Voorhees. I work with business owners to help them get in front of the right audience in a consistent, meaningful way, through a combination of print and digital. The magazine goes directly to local homeowners, and we layer in targeted digital advertising to make sure they’re being seen beyond the mailbox too.
What I enjoy most is getting to know the people behind the businesses and helping them tell their story in a way that actually resonates. It's very relationship-driven, which is where my background comes into play.
It’s not just about running ads, it’s about helping businesses become recognizable, trusted names in the community. At the end of the day, I’m here to make those connections happen and help both the businesses and the community thrive!
- What tip or tool has helped you in your business?I didn’t come into this business with a marketing background – I learned by doing, by failing, by asking questions – sometimes the same questions! My biggest takeaway is you don’t need to have everything figured out to start. It won’t be perfect. You just need to be willing to show up, have real conversations, and follow through on what you say you’ll do. Easier said than done, at times! Take advantage of your networks. And support others, however you can.
